Already within very young years I discovered a certain joy in amusement parks and primarily in roller coasters. Therefore the annual visit of the Europe Park was clearly one of the highlights of a year. In the year 1995 another amusement park came on my list with "Port Aventura". Within the following years the visit of an amusement park became a constant part of our family holidays. More parks followed soon like Gardaland, Mirabilandia, Disneyland and many more.
Through a club I got to know to others who shared my fascination in the year 2003. Since then the frequency of visited parks per year raised drastically, so does the distance to this parks.
The roller coasters let my heart beat faster of joy and are quite clearly my favorite attractions. Since the first ride on the wooden coaster Stampida (Port Aventura, Spain) I began to like this type of coaster more and more. In particular I enjoy the more twisted tracks, such as Troy (Toverland, Netherland) or Thunderbird (Power Park, Finland). Next to roller coasters, dark rides can fascinate me very much too, particularly the interactive ones. However I like to keep a little more distance from drop towers and faster fairground rides.
Within time I learned that a good roller coaster does not necessarily make for a good amusement park. The combination of theming and attraction as well as the complete appearance of a park is what I really like.
Next to amusement parks I am very heavily interested in computer technology. While technical areas are the main part professionally it is the area of image processing and web design that I like to deal with in my leisure time. Also I enjoy some relaxing while playing a computer game or watching a movie in my small home cinema. In the last few years another hobby came with the photography which I can combine with the amusement parks very well. Taking pictures has become an important part of the visit to an amusement park.
